Beds were uncomfortable, room was damp, shared toilets and bathroom were very unclean. For a Basis room I was not expecting to share a bathroom, this was misleading and should have been stated. The continental breakfast consisted of toast and cornflakes and nothing else which was disappointing.
the sheets on the bed were clean
the floor looked as if it hadn't been hoovered for years
It was what you paid for. Not very clean but you can stay there fairly comfortably. If you just want somewhere to sleep close to a lot then this is a good place.
Staff werent the most helpful and it wasnt spotless. Bearable but poor quality. English breakfast was a teaspoon of beans two eggs and a small sausage but plenty of toast. If you just want some where to sleep then its fine. We were in the basement of hotel and could hear everyone walking around above us quite loudly.
Breakfast was the best.:)
The bathroom wasn't clean and the shower wasn't working so good.
fithiness of room, dirty damaged bed linen. empty beer cans. cigarette stuck to light
First off I thought this hotel was going to me awful after Reading some reviews but I was actuly quite impressed. I payed 92 quid for 2 nights and it's a stone throw away from camdon the staff were nice and the we'd was comfy and it's in a quiet place I'll stay here again
A good english breakfast and a perfect position for visit the city
very noisy and not much clean
Although the staff are cheerful and helpful, the decor is in an abysmal condition. Breakfast was shocking: two fried eggs, a dessert spoon of baked beans and a small object which I believe was supposed to be a sausage. How the owner of this hotel can care so little, is beyond me.
It was cheap and near a underground station.
not a lot, it was nothing like the internet site pictures. i would not use it again despite my frequent visits to the area
wall paper peeling, shower "in" the bedroom, (must be against Health and Safety), when did they last have a review?
it was disgusting from the moment I arrived, rude staff, filthy surroundings, pictures on your website are obviously over a decade old.
To be honest the hotel didn't have any redeeming features except the waitress!.
The family room we booked didn't exist when we got there, the key got stuck in the door, the shower was either freezing or boiling, the carpets were filthy and threadbare, the window had a huge crack across it, the tv didn't work, it was far too hot at night and the breakfast was tiny and disgusting.
Double booked - arrived at 8:45pm and no room available despite making online booking. They suggested I try some local hotels (didnt even have a map they could give me) and as i was very tired and had my luggage I refused to budge till they found some alternative. They rang several local hotels - all full - and eventually contacted the owner who let me stay in a room htat was being renovated - not very suitable but as it was getting late I had no alternative.Admittedly he discounted the cost by 20 pounds next day.
Quite place, convenient, 5 min walk to underground station Tufnel Park. Simple and quick English breakfast. Teapot/coffee set in the room
Very small bathroom, very small TV without remote, very old furniture. No lift
The very helpful Irish lady on reception, the comfy bed and the good location, within walking distance of where we needed to be - very good value for money
